Road Trip today............

Hi All,

Well they did a PDI on the new to us '06 33RSO. Found a bad cell in the house battery, the ck valve on the city water inlet leaking and a crack in the tag light housing. All replaced...

So off to Houston with a scheduled delivery Monday AM.

Hi Tom, I forgot to ask, but maybe the rail of a roof rack? I'll know Monday. In pic #1 you can what might be a rail coming forward as part of the roof rack.

PO removed the leather lazy Boy's and put in a couple of replacements. Removed the couch and had a 3/4 bed made for niece to sleep on when she visited them while they workcamped in Yellowstone.

A older couple, original owners. Selling due to aging mother in law.

First trip in the new Ram. What a truck.

I think it is time for Ole Rockin make an appointment with his eye doctor. It is clearly a roof rack. See the ladder going up on the back end. That's a clue. Now for me to set back and read more post.

Update, We arrived @PPL and had a chance to look at the unit. They advertized it and in talking with the Previous owner he assured us it was in EXCELLENT condition. Wrong.........

The carpet was filthy, the wood had not seen any care since it left the factory, the exterior had not been waxed since it left the plant. The counter tops were scratched, the sinks stained and looked cracked. The shower finish had been scrubbed with a scothbrite pad and looked like hell. Basically just a average, if that, unit. We drove from Missouri to Houston to buy it...

We went in and found that the salesperson was not in so we told the receptionist where they could put the unit.

I hope others will learn not to trust PPL as to what they say the actual condition is.

We are still looking.......

That's a real bummer! From the pics it looked like a nice unit.

Good luck - you will find the right one sooner or later.

I'm so sorry........that unit does look good from the pix......but of course they can be deceiving. Please do something nice on your trip to take the sting out of this situation, like go out and get drunk and then have a nice steak dinner....it works for me!!! I refer to it as a "mental enema"!!!

It just wasn't meant to be. rockin'

Well the trip was not a complete loss. We got to see our daughter in League City. Got to put 1500 miles on the new truck. Found out I really like my new truck. Wife won $36 at the Casino in Broken Bow, Ok. Found 2 motels that are pet friendly. Got to visit 4 gas stations.

And, while going thru Lufkin the wife saw a Excel on a lot and we just had to stop. Turns out it is a '01 and way too old for her to even look at. However they are a ex-Excel dealer and have 2 BRAND NEW 2007 30' Excel Classic's they ordered in 2007 for inventory and they never sold.

A 30RKE and a 30RSO if I remember right and can be bought in the $30+K range. He said he paid $46K for them, but now, the owner wants them gone, just make him a offer....

Mobile Homes Lufkin, TX - Angelina Manufactured Housing Inc

Just too short for the wife and no place for a W/D.

So, it was not a wasted trip after all....
