Both my rocking chairs squeaks and moan when you rock and I do like to rock. I have sprayed with silicone, WD40 and put on 3and 1 oil to no avail. Any ideas?

I've had similiar problems with ours. If you go and look closely you'll find the basic structure is put together with STAPLES......yes staples. I went and added screws to all areas I could....but I still have creaking whenever the chair is moved, rocked or just sit in. My chair I have now is made by the same RV furniture manufacturer in Chanute, KS as the chairs my old unit had, but this one is clearly cheaply made. We've already had to replace 1 chair for Donna.....and mine really needs replacing. The dealer had to do some stapling on my chair on PDI. I'm not impressed. Sorry I am no help. Maybe someone else can help out here. rockin'

I have known a Rockin that squeaks and moans but that is another story!

I use bar soap if it is wood against wood or a squirt of teflon if it is metal against metal! Getting the bugs out of a new Rocker can take time and may even resolve itself. Good luck!

I operate a furniture repair business and this is what I found works best. The problem is that the old glue starts to crystalize and leaves the joint slightly loose, causing the squeak. Without taking all apart, buy Gorilla brand "super glue at your local H.I. store. This stuff is very thin and very strong. Squeeze a small amount around the rocker tenons allowing to seep down around the joint. Sets up in less than an hour and usually does the trick. On under side of seat if tenons go all the way thru, drill a small, (3/32) hole next to tenon and squeeze same glue in hole. This will tighten the joint. W-D 40 and the like, will cause the glue to desentigrate over a period of time enhancing the problem. Good luck on your squeak.
