Good Morning
Doing some PM on the rig, I noticed somme cauking comming apart on the rubber gasket along the top of the slideouts. Would any of you folks know what kind of sealent is used on the rubber seals on the slidouts where the rubber makes a 90* along the top? The stuff there now appears to be white putty that could use some repair on my rig before I get water leak
George

George,
I suggest using Eternabond Roof Tape along the edge of the seam thats coming loose. The repair will probably outlast your Excel--great stuff.

I agree with you Chief! Why don't rv manufacturers use it to begin with, and save all all the time and effort we expend to solve the resulting problems "flowing" from use of other materials? The gorilla tape "for the rest of us" rocks!

Rick

Thanks guys I thought the same thing but was not sure if that would work with the movement of the slide going in and out

I looked at my slide this afternoon, the roof material appears to be a EPDM, which should make the white 'putty' a product like Dicor's lap sealant.
