While doing some research, I stumbled onto this www siteThermal Imaging . Considering how much damage water intrusion can do and how difficult it can be to detect before it has already done considerable damage, this might be something a place like PI's Service Center could benefit from immensely. That is if it's not cost prohibitive. I was just wondering if any of you have ever had any experience with RV infrared thermal imaging to find the source of water intrusion.

I don't have any experience but what a great idea. I'd like to try to find someplace that does this and determine the costs...if not cost prohibitive, then what a great tool for us to pay for and then take a copy of the image showing water intrusion to someone for repair.
Depending on the costs, this could be as good an insurance policy as Pressure Pro's. It is in the same catagory as any aftermarket item we all buy for our units as added insurance.

Great post Bob!

Bob,

Very interesting! This could be a nice tool in a pinch. Thanks for sharing! Tom

Thanks Bob -- very interesting. I would be interested in finding RV service centers that offer this service and the approximate cost. We're in the Birmingham, AL area for the next few weeks - Oak Mountain State Park.

for water leaks, the best device seems to be something like the Sealtech device (see Finding Leaks in Zephyrs). The idea is to blow air into the RV and use a soapy solution to see where it leaves.
