Would like information from some Full Timers on Water Heater Systems. They seem to run from 99.00 up. What have you found in your travels? Kansas

Hi Kansas. You may want to use the forum search feature and you'll find a lot of reading material on this topic.

We full time and spend a lot of time in the desert so we've been using a Travelsoft softener from CW for nearly 3 years now. It does a great job of providing soft water and we wouldn't be without it. That's the "pro".

The "cons" are that it is one more thing for us to set up and tear down since it's too big to hard mount inside the bay... recharging it and carrying the required salt is a bit of a pain but I've gotten used to it.

Rick

I have a miniature house softener, it measures 25.5 inches Tall, the salt storage is 22 inches Tall. Fully cycling, automatic with a salt storage that holds 50 pounds.

I have a 8" Water to Go and it is great. I think they all are pretty close to the same. I plumbed mine up with some hoses to the hose reel and it is easy to remove and recharge. It only uses table salt so you dont need alot of extra to carry around. It gets about 500 gallon per charge. They also sell a De Ionionzer so you dont get water spots when you wash the coach. Together they make a good combination.

Here is a recent thread on softeners...don't know if you have read it? As we don't full time or have a need....I only read about them.
