Gary, all I know about the Sailun's is what I read and mostly it is good. Come to think about it I don't think I ever read anything bad about them.

I had to replace our 17.5 Michelin's last year and based on the recommendation of Russell (DrFife) I went with Hankook TH 22 trailer tires. They are load range H also. So far I've been very happy with them. A set of 4 was $936 if I remember right.

JDT is right on. They both have great reviews and priced about the same. I'd feel good about using either brand. Haven't always said that about Chinese tires. The GYs and Michelins are so darn expensive.

Hankook is a South Korean company but the TH22's are Chinese made. I generally avoid any tire made in China but I feel these are an exception along with Sailun. My good friend and fishing buddy owned 2 tire shops here in town for many years. He said the best wearing heavy duty trailer tires will have a slick rib on the outside edges, which the Hankook's have. That may or may not be true but I at least hope they fare better than the Michelin's the Winslow came with.

Ain't it fun to have a buddy that can talk about fish and tires??? Ha!
I had no issues with my J rated XTA Michelins other than they were getting of age when I sold the unit.

I will be replacing my gy614 tires this year. As rocket n has pointed out that 4-5 years you should be changing. I have compared prices on both Salian and Hankook 17.5 size tires and I think a set of four Hankook were a $100 more but still less than $950. Locally, Les Schwaab gave me a quote. I still have a weird wear pattern on the tires and could be the belts moving. I found a local diesel truck shop that actually does tire alignment checks and repairs. The gy614 for four out the door were more than $2k.

2014, I think you are mixing up models and sizes on the GYs. G614 (G rated) is a 16" tire and G114 (H rated) is a 17.5" tire. I you got the G114s you have to update the wheels too! Just sayin'.

I just upgraded to 17.5 wheels and H tires for the HH and went with the Sailun's, ran through two sets of the GY 614's and had bad wear and chopping on both sets. The sailun has great reviews and the price is a whole lot better so we'll see. Do know of one other person running the H rated Sailun's and he has around 30k miles without any issues.

My bad, they are the 114 tires. Still tooooo high in price though for no longer than they last.
