It occasionally gets mentioned that negative experiences are the ones that tend to get written about, and when all goes well, nothing gets said.

With that in mind, I thought it would be worth acknowledging another very positive service experience at Smith Center.

We scheduled an appointment for some maintanance and some warranty issues. While one wishes there would never be issues with their rig--that is not "real life". However, the next hope is that when there are issues, they will get taken care of. So far, this has been our experience when on the road, or at the plant.

The recent visit was a prime example. Not only were the items we wanted fixed taken care of, our service tech-Darrin, and Jack found and repaired an issue that we weren't even aware of. While the visit ended up being a little longer than we had anticipated, they went out of their way to make it all work. If we can't avoid ever having a problem, then the next best thing is feeling we can get professional, knowledgable service when needed. I feel like that is what we consistantly get from Excel and the staff that work there. Thanks all.

I agree. Although we hate to find things that need repair we had a similar experience to bigmichael and we were very pleased with Jack and the crew. I have also called Jack on occasion and he has been very helpful over the phone.

I just got back from Smith Center. I had an issue with the rear camera on my rig. It seemed to Ralph and me that moving the transmitter from the rear of the coach to the front (a 2-hour job) would fix it.

Darren quickly snaked a cable and moved the transmitter, but still no picture. Ralph and Darren worked doggedly until nearly 4 p.m. to diagnose and fix the problem, which turned out to be a failed electronic component.

I can't say enough nice things about the service they gave. I believe that most other RV manufacturers would have directed me to the camera supplier for help. Peterson really stands by their products!

I might mention that I arrived at the factory building hours after quitting time, being unaware of the maintenance facility across the street to the east. That gave me the chance to see PI President Bryan Tillett apparently hauling office trash out to the dumpster as he was the last one to leave. He kindly directed me to where I should park for the night. I admire a hands-on executive. That says a lot about PI right there.

Due to problems with our hydraulic system we recently visited Peterson Industries. Every staff member we spoke to was pleasant and willing to help. The collective knowledge of people who have made and repaired these units for years paid off for us. Thank you!
