After one year in our 33RSE, I've finally found a place for our shoes. Nixed a custom made wood shelf at $350. Instead, I found this $20 shoe rack $20 shoe rack at Lowes. Lowes and Home Depot list a Closet Maid version, but didn't stock it locally.

Took a couple of hours to modify and install it. I cut down the rows from 6 shoe holders to 5 to fit the space. And shortened the uprights for the height.

Tools: Cutoff disks on a Dremel tool (my handy dandy everything gizmo); pliers to bend the shortened ends; drill and screw driver to mount the brackets.

Sure, you could drive over to use my place to use it. But not at the cost of diesel these days.

looks nice Bruce! Hope you didn't toss out the fire extingisher!!!

How deep is that rack?? the web site says 4" but your box says 7" I could use something like that that if it extends only 4" but 7" would not fit.

The rack extends 5". With sneakers, it sticks out a total of 7", but your feet may vary.

You have shoes???!!!

Nice job Bruce. I agree with Doug....where the F-E? This would have fit nicely in Best Practices!

Donna and I have so few shoes we stand ours up on end in a standard tote in the bedroom closet. They seem to stay put and we have them in the front where they are easy to see.

We'd love to have something like that to store our shoes when we come into the rig! But we have a rear kitchen and have no place to mount anything like that...we just take off our shoes and leave them on the linoleum in the entryway...which means we also sometimes trip over them!
