Okay folks -- I'll attempt to make the forum more "user friendly" for those that do not care for the bantering, joking, "Shucking and Jiving" or whatever you wish to call the off-topic posts.

Here's my suggestion.... In those cases where the initial topic is a QUESTION about something EXCEL related and the member/poster needs an answer, we'll keep the jiving, bantering, etc. out of those threads as a courtesy to the poster and other forum members.

I'm not asking ANYONE to stop "shucking and jiving", it's a lot of fun and I'm guilty as charged, it's just that we need to keep the information channels open for those folks that want or need information.

By doing this, we can indeed be "most things" to most forum members.

All you (us) "shucker's and jiver's" are on notice, keep your off-topic comments out of those topics requesting information/assistance. Also, please watch your attempts to bypass the "bad word(s) checker" by adding spaces, periods, etc. to camouflage the forbidden word(s).

Chief John-- Thank You, Thank You-- I really enjoy this site and read it daily. Lots of great information. However to many times it turns into a bunch of sillyness. I like to joke and have a good time as well as the next guy, but there is a time and place for it. Keep up the great job you are doing for us.

I would also like to ditto "THANKS". This forum that is supposed to be "a forum for discussion of Excel Fifth-Wheels" has degraded to 10% useful information and 90% useless bantering. For those that can't resist the need to "shuck" or "jive", maybe they can use the private messaging feature of the forum. At least with the PM feature, we won't have to "weed through" the excess posts to find the useful information.

Thanks for the comments -- now, enough of the 'cussing, fussing, and discussing' "shucking and jiving" and on to the focus of this forum, THE BEST DARN 5TH WHEEL ON THE MARKET!!

I apologize folks, it appears Mr. KnowItAll (RockinTom) did not understand my original comments of this subject.

"I'm not asking ANYONE to stop "shucking and jiving", it's a lot of fun and I'm guilty as charged, it's just that we need to keep the information channels open for those folks that want or need information."

If you feel the need to lighten your chest with some 'shucking and jiving', start a new topic and have FUN. We're not going to become so darn rigid that we can't banter back and forth with each other.

Your humble "Forum Leader",
John
