What is a "side-by-side hookup" at an RV park or campground?

Thanks.

Hi Jim,

How ya been.

The only time I have heard of side by side hook up was were one rig pulled in one direction and the other pulled in the other direction. This meant that both of the hook up sides of the rigs were next to each other and there was one pedestal to serve both of them. So both left sides of the vehicles faced each other. May mean something different to others.

This was done in older parks.

Butch,

Thanks for the information. I found notes on some campground listing saying "no side-by-side hookups".

By the way, wouldn't the nose-to-tail situation more appropriately be called a Cop Hookup?
