I just cleaned the bugs off of the front my rig using Simple Green sprayed on the RV scrub brush and it worked great!!
I wet the front 1st, sprayed the brush, spread it around, let it soak a a little while and scrub the bugs off and used my regular soap soulation and scrubed it a 2nd time and very carefully rinsed it all off. The bugs are gone with very little effort.

Question Will Simple Green cause any problems??

Dan

I don't think it will hurt as long as you don't let it dry (rinse frequently) and then come back with some protection like wax.

I just use the old tried and trued trick of 2 Bounce sheets on a Swifter mop head works great. The bugs just melt away rockin'

We've used Simple Green for a lot of cleaning both inside and outside the rig. It's never caused any problems.

Dan,
I used to use Simple Green on my motorcycle and cars. Then someone in a rag advised it was a powerful cleaner and was not good for painted surfaces. It would dull it over time. I stopped using it and use a car wash soap. I'll soak the bugs as much as possible and wet the surface and they come off. I also use, for the front of my rig, a solution called S-100 sold by motorcycle dealers. Spray it on, hose it down with pressure, and the bugs and dirt comes off. I use it only for the front as it is expensive compared to car wash soap, but it does a good job. Hope this helps,
Phil

I use Dri Wash n Guard Ultra Ion on my 2004 Explorer today and the Florida bugs actually just wiped off. I've used the same stuff on the sides of my Excel and they shine like new.

However, it took several applications on the endcaps with one of their products called Oxygone to bring them back to acceptable..not new looking but acceptable. I do not sell this stuff..........yet.

I used Simple Green once on the bugs on the front and I was a little worried about the results. It seemed to cause discoloration in the 3M mask in places. I don't have any scientific proof - or even pictures - but there were places that looked odd. It could have been my imagination, or just some really "thick" bugs, but I stopped using it.

I, too, like Dri Wash N Guard like MakinSmoke. Have used it on RV and toad for a year now. Nice finish on both vehicles.

I switched from Dri Wash N Guard to Envy years ago and have been more than happy with the results. I have not tried Dri Wash N Guard's new formula but would test it if someone wanted to supply it free of charge. Test results will take 1 year to complete.
I have had to show registration of coach to prove it is over 9 yars old now.
Bugs don't have a chance if you have good protection & black streaks wipe off dry surface with finger!

I found a product called Streak-X that instantly removes bugs and black streaks. You spray this stuff on and watch the bugs start to go away.
