Revisit this topic since I can't find the answer -- might have been in an email -- attribute to aging brain cells?? Some folks have mentioned that they inserted a wooden block inside the aluminum channel that the lag bolt goes through. Approximate size that I need to cut this block? I intend to cut several of these and during my 'spare' time down south, I'll insert them in all the problem areas.

I've given up on the leaking compartment doors -- sealed along the top and around the curve of each top corner with Gorilla tape. Not pretty, but I've stopped the leaks. Chris (Workhorse) is going to give me some ideas on a permanent repair when I get to FL.

Chief, are you positive the leaking is from the top of the door? I know when I open mine there is always a little moisture in the bottom. I always figured it came in the sides and ended up there. I do know one is suppose to keep adjusting the cams on the latches to make the door tight on the seals. I pulled the model you have from the Clay County fair last month...what a nice floor plan you have...

The best I can determine, its coming from along the hinge at the top of the door. When I tape this area, I don't have the brown stained water coming out the bottom of the doors and staining the inside of the lower sill of the compartment door opening.

All four of my outside compartment doors were replaced as a result of water damage. The new curbside doors have not been a problem. The storage and utility compartment doors on the roadside are leaking (somewhere ).

Chief...on my unit, I had to do a repair/replacement to both the roadside and curbside slides. One broken lag on each slide. Post #12 was for the curbside, on page #2, Post 13 was for the roadside.

The curbside slide had a flush floor and the roadside 'rides' above the floor. Both were simular as far as the replacement of the lags with a bolt, but required different ways to repair/replace and finishing off.

Once I figured out what I was doing and the approach needed....it went fairly well.

When I see you next month...we can take a look at them also.
