Slide over the hump issue resolved.

We have a 14 31IKE and the kitchen slide had a hard time getting over the hump and was getting worse. Checked all the rollers and they were fine. I let the slide out about 1/2 way to be able to clean the surface of the hump inside and out with a damp rag. Loaded with road dirt and grime. Sprayed silicon on a paper towel to wipe the inside of the slide hump and sprayed the outside of hump from underneath. What a difference. Nice and smooth now. Also did same on dinette side.

Thanks Lastone, good info. And don't forget to clean and spray the rams and gears. And just FYI, on some of the longer units that have the long and heavy kitchen slide, there have been reports that the ram angle of the slide floor had to be changed to make the ramp more gradual, thus easier ramping transition.

Geez, now something else to do. I gotta quit reading this forum.

Just kidding, of course. I appreciate things like that as I really like to head off problems before they start. Ours works pretty good but will do the check, tomorrow. Thanks for posting.

Jim, I think you're OK with a shorter 34' model. I was referring to 36 and 37'. Just make sure you keep them mechanism clean and sprayed with pure silicone.

Lastone,
Please clarify what surface of the hump is? Are you talking about when slide drops down when nearing full extension and what part are you cleaning?

Yes on the outside of the RV where the ramp sits when completely open and the ramp it self from the inside of the RV.
