Lately I've noticed that my kitchen slide is moving out couple of inches during travel. As I recall, it moves out more in back than front. Guess I need to tighten the ram.

Front of slide

Rear of slide

Can anyone give me some advice on this adjustment? Thanks as usual.

Bruce.... Please don't adjust your jam nuts on the hydraulic cylinder until AFTER you call Jack in customer Service. Your jam nuts are suppose to have a gap in order for your cylinder to fully extend and retract. If you tighten them you can cause severe damage to your side wall and/or your slide out room.

Please call Jack at 800-368-3759.

Thanks,
Bryan

Nothin!

I haven't called him yet. Hope to do so on Wed. I'll certainly post here when I have an answer. Fortunately, I don't expect to move my RV till Dec, so have plenty time to fix.

I have the answer. It's good news and bad news.

The good news - Jack said I shouldn't adjust the ram. Rather a valve for my hydraulic system is failing. He has seen this in other systems recently. He will make up a valve and hose to send to me. Maybe I take pics of it during install?

The bad news - SKIA sent me an email after reading this post. He wondered about this very solution.

Score another one for the Know It All!
