We arrived in SC on Sunday -- Jack and crew say hello to everyone. Forum member Curtis Brown and his DW are here, as are a couple of others that are not on-line.
We hope to be out of here by Wednesday and get back to IL. Bob, fuel prices in KS are approximately $3.45 @ gal -- I'll be waiting until we are back in MO before I fuel up.
I'll post a status report on our visit later this week.

Thanks for the report Chief.

Having big tanks like you do is another way to save on fuel. I like to travel the back roads, which means I'm often filling up at local stations instead of high-volume truck stops.

Here's an interesting link that shows how diesel prices vary by region and over time.

Hope things go well at the SC.

Bob,
Didn't mean to cause any confusion I was addressing Bob, "Highgturn", on the fuel costs. He's headed this way next month. Regardless of fuel tank size, we all spend approximately the same amount per mile towing.

We had an outstanding visit with the folks at SC and met fellow Excel family members, Curtis and Bonnie, full-timers who will be heading to TX soon; Don and Karen from Iowa; and, Ray and Barb, also from Iowa, heading to TX for the winter. We enjoyed their company in the Customer Lounge -- guys sat around and BS'ed while the ladies did their thing. Great bunch of folks.
Jack and his crew took care of all of our concerns, and, as is their custom, treated everyone as more than a "customer" of their Service Center. Ms Donna has her hands full keeping this crew in-line! :-)) Thanks again to all the folks at PI.
