Sofabed fabric ripped
While we've been living in our 30RKE, our grandson has been staying with us. In typical 11 year-old boy fashion, he got on his knees at the foot of the sofabed last night. When he did, the black fabric supporting the mattress ripped.
I was unable to locate any kind of manufacturer's labeling on it and hope the vast knowledge base on here can help me find a new piece of fabric.
If not, perhaps someone could help me with a DIY work-around for it. That fabric also helps support the couch cushions, so it's kind of necessary.
Thanks in advance!

Try an upholstery shop. Right now I can't remember what type fabric the sofas have, mesh or solid . To get by till permanent fix, use duck tape in a color that blends.

The fabric that ripped, is like underbelly fabric and has to be replaced. The end was folded, with a rod through the fold. That's were the springs were attached.

Duck brand duct tape will make more of a mess than it cures! The do make a lot of different colors though but the glue seems to give out quickly and leave a sticky mess behind.

Duck tape would be a temp, but it will take a bit to find fabric and get replaced. I would think the permanent repair will require complete removal of the original.

Ps, I have heard that gorilla tape is better but I'm not familiar with it.

I bought a roll of gorilla tape and made the repair with it. It's not the prettiest thing, but will never really be seen. The gorilla tape seems very strong.
The grandson and step-daughter slept on it last night and it held.
Thanks for the tips!
