Solving the leaky screw problem
It seems many RV manufacturers today are having problems with screws leaking. Some people are replacing every suspect screw with a stainless steel screw and some silicone in the hole. I think there is a better way. If every screw used on the outside of the coach would have a neoprene washer installed at the factory, there would be very few leaks. I helped erect steel buildings and grain bins that used a neoprene washer on every bolt and self drilling screw over 35 years ago. They still show no leaks.
BTW....this is not my idea. I looked at SOB toy hauler the other day and see that they are already doing this.
