Your basket would not work without modification on later model Excels.

My ladder is on the opposite side. My 43" wide basket interferes with the ladder.

I planned to buy a 48" StowAway enclosed hitch cargo carrier from a buddy. It would not fit without a significant extension to the receiver.

I extended the tube on the carrier instead of extending the receiver. $12
