I have an opportunity of success for each one of you.

When I fill the fresh water tank from either the dump line or city water and it gets near full I notice some water dripping under the unit. I crawled under there last week and the insulation was wet so somewhere it is wetting the insulation and that is dripping.

I don't know if both of the lines meet in a common line or not near the tank. Anybody up to claim the prize for King of the Leaks.

Larry

Mine did the same thing when I bought new in 2003. The problem is at the top of the fresh water tank the fresh water fill hose, 1 1/2" line, was not put on properly. You can go underneath and you will see a piece of galvinized tin just in front of the axels. Remove the screws on the road side of the coach and you will have access to were the fill line attaches to the water tank. Loosen the hose clamp and slide the fill hose all the way on. Retighten the hose clamp and that should fix the leak.

Larry, I would agree with Larry.

Have to agree also...don't know where Rockin' at, maybe he's finally getting his unit waxed.

Can reach my tank from the storage compartment, behind the panel, luckly easier to get to. Was in the water tank area over the weekend, annual sanitize the tank time and installing two water alarms in that area. Might also check vent line next to the fill tube Larry indicated also. Was interesting to watch the tank fill up, might not do it next time.

You asked if the 'city fill' and 'dump line' were connected, on my units there not. The only thing common with either would be the vent line for the tank but any loose connection will leak. One thing I noticed was how 'nasty' the vent tube was....it can and will collect some water over time....for a clear tube, it was almost grey/black. When the tank was empty, bleached it also and got it cleaned as well. The way the tube was routed allowed water to sit in the low spot and not drain. Not the case now. Slightly off topic but...

Larry,

You were right on. I went up there today to fix the leak. Filled up the tank and the fresh water fill hose with vent line are on the roadside of my unit. The fill line is about an inch below the top of the tank so when I filled the tank it was leaking out of the connection.

What a PITA to get to the connection. The slide gears are right close to that area and my arm does not bend that way very well. I cleaned up the tank spout and put some RTV around it and secure it with two hose clamps.

I hope that ends that problem. It did give me a better appreciation of how the rigs are built. I ain't a small boy so it was interesting getting in there and trying to sit up, thank gosh the axle was not to far away.

Seeing as I was there I snugged up the fitting for the city water connection.
