Our bathroom door handle starting squeaking a few months ago, and I've just tolerated it up until now. But I get up before Jan, and I don't want to wake her. I tried squirting it with some silicone spray, but that didn't work. I was going to try some 3 in 1 oil next. Anyone else have this issue and found a way to quiet the squeaking? Of course, I haven't taken it apart yet. Perhaps the silicone spray never reached the squeaky parts! I should try that tonight.

You said squeaky door handle.....not the door hinges.?....I've alway had to lube the hinges on a regular basis. The hinges that PI uses have a little plastic piece that rides inbetween the metal hinges. On my three Excels they have lasted about 3 weeks. Replacements lasts about the amount of time. I just keep them lubed regularly with silicone or Jig-A-Loo. Never had the handle itself squeak. rockin'

My door HINGES have NEVER squeaked! How funny.
I took the door HANDLE apart just now and lubed it up with silicone spray. It's much better, but probably won't last long. When the silicone wears off, I think I try some good 'ole 3 in 1 oil.

That's cause you never tough it out by staying in one of the finer climates. When it gets cold, we get to snuggle up more with the DW.

Still, I just figured out why you need so many of those SOB dogs. They're so darned small that it takes eight of them to keep you and Billie warm on a "three dog night"!

Got the same problem. Tried Silicone spray, Lithium powder, Graphite, with no luck. If I ever get it apart to the internals where things won't rub off on clothes, hands, etc., I'll use real grease.

Jeff--Thanks for staying on topic. These renegade Excel guys just don't appreciate how serious of a problem a squeaky door handle can be!
