We have a 2008 35MKE and it has developed a squeeking floor just pass the kitchen counter( Island) in the living room area by the floor vents. Has anybody experienced this??? What have you done to fix???? Will be going into Smith Center in October but no matter how we level the squeek won't go away.

We had the same problem in our 2008 35RSE. We noticed it while we were still at the dealer in Moriarty, NM. It took the guys less than 10 minutes to fix. I foolishly didn't get them to show me what they did. I think I remember they said they added some shims. We have developed another squeak in the kitchen area. I am going to call them and find out whay they did so I can fix this. (I don't think a 600 mile round trip to get a squeak fixed is necessary.)I will let you know what I find out.

We've had squeeks in the floor almost since new. Squeeks in every area of the inside of the rig and including the steps. The folks at SC say it's just the way it is, so I accept that as the way it is. I've not attempted to do anything about it myself. Sometimes it's worse than other, depending on temp, moisture and setup.

We also have a floor squeak in the kitchen around a floor vent. I feel like it is associated with the vent but have not investigated further.

Our stairs squeek and the condition worsens when we run our furnace a lot. I figured that the wood was drying out. I don't how why, but they only squeek when I use them and not my wife.

Careful Mr. Paul....funny stuff must be kept to the "shucking and jiving" thread. We don't want to offend our "serious only" folks. Tom

'Rockin' -- lighten up buddy or I'll make a trip out to discuss with you over a bottle of Boars Head.
Our floors have squeaks that appear to come and go based on the humidity (IMO). Folks at SC fixed a couple of areas, but the squeaks seem to return. Does make it difficult for me to slip out out at night without waking the DW.

Our floors squeek around the vents, too. Sometimes (but not always) we also get a metallic sound like the vents are flexing.

We get the vent sound on the roadside slide near the edge of the slide.
Tom,
Will you be walking to the woodshed soon?

I'm cool....just thought Paul might not known of the new policy and I was trying to guide him appropriately.

Our 2008 Wild Cargo has the same noise, although you can't hear it when you're inside too much. Whenever you're outside the rig you can tell when someone is walking around the living area. It may not be a problem, but it sounds cheap to me.
