Well, I haven't even been able to take the new Wild Cargo out, and am already having difficulties. I had to move the rig to another spot in the storage lot, and the landing gear will not extend. I can hear the pump run when I try to retract, but when I push the extend switch, there's only a click. The rear ones don't work either. I've also tried this while hooked up to the the truck, just in case the battery was a little weak. Maybe related or not, I extended the bedroom, and it will not retract.
Thoughts anyone?

No, I can't get to shore power. I was hooked up to the truck, thinking that would help provide some power. I did try the genset, but no joy there either. It started, but I never saw where I had AC in the unit.

I never carried and had two batteries until I had this system. All I can tell you is it takes lots of power especially the slide outs. I even invested in a portable power pack and keep it charged.. Good Luck!!!

Not trying to be a smart ass (for a change) but you do have the battery disconnect switch on? Woody is right, the hydraulic pump draws a lot of current. rockin"

The disconnect is on (or in the green for power). I've already learned that lesson.
Thanks

While we used these same basic systems in our convertible and retractable top units, the electrical set up is quite different and diagnoising without a proper manual/schematics would be a shot in the dark. Sorry we aren't more help. rockin'

I had a similar problem early on in our Excel Adventure. Batteries were too low to power the hydraulics so I hooked up a portable generator with no luck. The problem was that we have a Progressive Industries Electrical Management System (EMS) which tripped out due to not having the generator grounded. Switched the EMS off and problem solved.
Have you checked the hydraulic fluid level?

2Fliers, any luck? You had me wondering about my rig last night. I got her out of storage this morning and even though I left my truck under and hooked up. I lower the front stabilizers to get the weight off of the truck and had the batteries disconnected. I walked in, flipped the switch and the stabilizers raised immediately. I was more concern about my truck not being started in three months, the batteries where put in in December of 04, but it fired right off too. I do believe there is a way to manually run each hydraulic component separately, by meaning each slide out or each stabilizer individually.

Sure sounds like symptoms of power disconnect. Did you test for power coming out of the switch when turned on?

I think your batteries don't have enough charge to run the pump. Some time ago I was going to retract the slides and and had shore power on but forgot to turn on the batteries, the bed room slide came in but the large slides would not move, turned on the batteries and all was well.
Leave your truck hook up and charge the batteries for couple of hours and see if that makes difference.
