Thanks for the replies. Hope someone takes me up on the offer to stay here free. (Seattle) I have had rigs before and I have never met a camper who I didn't like. They are all so helpful. I've always said if you want to get men together open the hood of your truck and they will come flocking. They never met a engine they didn't like.... Anyway I'm sure that the symbols are easy to decipher. Usually they are easy, like RKS = rear kitchen with slide. etc... Mine is a TRO which I can't think what they stand for. I'm sure it would make sense once I know.
Read quite abit about how some units get water damage from bad caulking or loose screws. I really don't think that mine has had these problems because the previous owner took the unit back to the factory and had everthing resealed from roof to all caulking everywhere. Nice for me. I have a cover left over for when I sold my motorhome.. So now it will be covered for the rest of its life.. Really think these units are some of the best there is...
Thanks again for all the replies, good to have another family to share ideas. Never know when I can meet some other Excel owners.
Ted Thurlby from Seattle area.
Also mine was back at the factory 4 y

Ted,
Not all models symbols make sense. Yours may be one of them. Here is a link that explains some of them.... Clicky Here

Here is a link to the Excel web site
http://excelrvs.com/
From here you can download the 2009 brouchure and there lies the answer to your questions, along with SKIA link.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies to the symbol question. I think now with your help I have it figured out. The TRO stands for Two recliners in the front by the bay windows. The O stands for open bathroom. Ted
