Has anyone had trouble with the ToughStone
countertops? We have been looking at a Winslow
and like the looks of these countertops but cannot
find any information on these.

Hi hitcher,
Welcome to our little world. We had Toughstone on our last Excel (2010) and they were fine, I did have a kitchen counter that was loose to the wooden cabinet frame that the counter sits on. It had like maybe 6 screws that held the entire counter to the frame. I tried adding more screws and the Toughstone was very soft on the underside. Ended up using glue plus the screws to retain it.

Our new rig has the Corian counter tops which are very nice. I do see some scratches so must get out the CounterMagic and get to work on them...

I wouldn't be scared of the TS. Maybe others will chime in on this subject. rockin'

Got a lotta small scratches in ours. Rockin' says Corian has the same. So probably unavoidable.

The kitchen counter extension is another matter. The backing pushes out. Tried gluing it - nope. Nothing to screw into.

This is our second one. The first one was badly scratched. Shoulda kept it.

We had Corian in our home for 20+ years and used plain old kitchen cleanser to keep it clean and scratches out. It always looked great. The Touchstone is a different story though. I'm still looking for a good solution to scratches

We have the touchstone and so far its fine. We are pretty careful to always have coasters or paper towels under anything. I can still see small scratches, but you have to look just right to see them. Our rig is a 2006 so it has seen several years of use.
