We have what may be a minor problem on our new RT30RSO, but is somewhat maddening. If we use a pressure regulator (30 to 50), the pressure is low enough that a shower is not that enjoyable. If we don't use a regulator, water accumulates in the basement. Not been able to see a leak, and dealer assures us there is no leak, but it still gets quite wet. Have had 2 regulators quit functioning in last few weeks (just shut off the flow completely).
Anyone else with a similar problem, and any suggestions on what pressure to use? We're still learning our way.
Thanks.

My first suggestion is to lean on the dealer and insist they identify/fix the problem. Evidently there is a leak if the basement is wet. Question is, is this a pressure related leak or is it coming from a drain pipe? We had a wet basement that puzzled the &$## out of me because I could not find a "pressure" related problem. Finally, I discovered the shower drain elbow was slowly leaking--was only evident when the water level was above the joint between the straight down-pipe and the elbow. Basically only when the shower was being used.
Bob, Highgturn, had a similar leak and solved it by installing a rubber hose between the bottom of the shower drain and the drain pipe. The rubber joint absorbs any flex from being transferred down the drain pipe to the elbow.

Thanks for the quick response. And the info. I had read the other posts, and considered that possibility. But the wet occurs without use of the shower. (Without a regulator.) And no wet occurs when a regulator is attached. (Just very low pressure.)
Also, no wet occurs when not attached to water, and pump is left on, for a couple of days' use.
From further research here, I think I may have to install a lot better regulator.
Thanks again.

Watts make some great adjustable water regulators. But I would have a good service guy chaeck it out first.
I've seen Watts products at Home Depot.

Our experience has shown that we had several water leaks in the early days on the pressure side of the fresh water. Mainly the leaks were in both sides of the water filter, which appeared to be an afterthought at the factory. Worm clamps were used on the water pipe and leak like crazy. Hard to see at a glance. Anyhow, regarding water pressure regulation, I suggest throwing the cheapy "in line little regulators" in the trash and bite the bullet and get a "house hold" type regulator like a Watts brand. These regulators control pressure and not restrict the flow like the cheap ones do. Expensive but worth it. Just do it! You'll be happy with the result. I am amazed to see folks still using the restrictor types in the parks we visit. Water pressure in the parks are all over the board.....I've been in parks with 20 to 100 PSI pressure. The plastic tubing in your rig will handle the 100 PSI but the connectors and joints won't! We set our regulator to 55 PSI with good overall results. Faucets and shower are great. HTH Tom

I think you may have forgotten the price.....I bought mine at HD with all the fittings, gauges, hose, and couplings.......was just shy of $100.00.

Second trip to the dealer and they insist they can't find a leak. Installed a new Watts regulator, using 50 # of pressure. First day, no leaking. Second day, a small amount of water in the basement, accumulated at the main drain pipe. Can't find any indication of a leak. Will continue looking...

Thanks, folks, for all the help.
This one has me stymied.
I did build the outfit, similar to what's pictured (thanks Bob), but without the filter. While another is showering, and after, there is no indication of any water where it shouldn't be. This morning, the pool at the main drain outlet is dry, but the floor (carpet)is quite wet, and looks almost like it's coming up thru the wood floor.
Don't really know what to do next.

glarnold,
You have got to get this stopped. Water is an RVs worst enemy. I assume the wet area is behind the sliding doors in the utility bay? It could be coming from a variety of places. I would suggest turning off the park water and the pump. Open both cargo hatches, remove the sliding doors, and place a fan in the bay to dry it out. Once it is dry turn the water back on and see if you can find the source of the leak as it starts.
