Well we did it! We have put in a washer and dryer in my little 2006 30RSO Classic! Yeah! It was quite the job and I think everyone in the campground was involved in one way or another but we did it! I don't have any closet floor but can still hang all my clothes like before. Just had to relocate the shoes!! I am thrilled. I love the smaller size of our rig and love the lay out- just wanted to add some things(washer/dryer, satellite). It kept looking like there was no way to do a washer and dryer- measurements etc were a problem. Course Jack at PI said you could do anything you wanted if you had enough money! Well luckily we did not have to spend too much- just a lot of time and labor of us and friends!(about a weeks worth- can't imagine what would have cost in the shop in labor!!) We originally wanted to do a satellite first but got a great deal on slightly used Splendide washer and dryer and it was a few years old and its(both washer and dryer) dimensions were perfect for us- the new ones dimensions would not work in our space. And Jack was awesome to answer our questions when we clled and even sent us some schematic info we needed.
Anything is possible!!(Especially with great friends!)

Congrats, Punkin! Sounds like a great addition to your RV. I would say "enjoy"...but is that possible when doing laundry???

Pump, I'd love to see some pix of your setup...I didn't think the 30 RSO was designed for a W/D? rockin

Sarah I am loving doing laundry now! Whenever I want!
Jenna- come on over!!
And rockin- the 30RSO definitely was not designed for a washer/dryer!! I originally wanted a combo but it was too deep to fit in the closet- the back wall curving in as it comes up was a challenge. When someone here at the campground said he had a set he was selling I never even thought about putting seperates in- but he said several times that maybe they would work for me so one day I went and measured them and eureka!!And the dimensions on these are different than the newer ones. Now if it had even been 1/4 inch deeper they would not have worked!!When I got the measurements and we decided to do it my husband said he hoped I measured right!! My wonderful, genius, loving husband ran the drain line from the sink in the bedroom thru the cabinets, around behind the drawers and into the closet- and did the same with the water lines(I love pex plumbing!!). Now the dryer- well with the curved wall it was interesting with the intake vents in back! Our friend Kenny- who is a mechanic and incredibly smart guy- looked at it for me because at first it wouldn't fit because of the anglle of the rear wall. So he came up with the idea of making it have a 2 inch platform then it fit perfect and the vents had free air flow! Other problem was the dryer vented in the back- did want to cut a dryer vent into the front fiberglass cap! So then my friend and hubby took the dryer apart and rerouted the vent to come out the side!! Then they took precise measurements and planned the vent out the side. We called Jack at PI to doublecheck on placement of studs and etc and he was wonderful and sent us a schematic/blueprint to help us out! Now I still have solid glass doors so I have to make sure to leave the door open when using dryer until I can get some nice wooden doors with the slats for airflow for the dryer one of theses days. And I did loose all my floorspace in closet(except for about 2 inches in between the units) but definitely worth it! And we originally started fulltiming in a 24 foot fifth wheel so giving up a little floor space in our 30 foot ain't too bad!!!
I am not working this weekend so will try to figure out how to get some pics on here maybe Saturday or Sunday!

Interesting as I thought about a washer dryer when looking at rvs and even thought it a requirment but now that we have a Classic 30RSO without I could not imagine sacrificing any space for such, maybe because we usally dry camp and often look forward to a trip too civilization with unlimited hot water showers anyway though I do find your post interesting about how you did it and maybe if we ever where to "usally be full hookup campers" it would be nice. Thanks for the info great post!

Have been sooo busy have not gotten to post pics but will get to it I promise. We like to travel and boondock alot but I do work as a travel nurse so when doing a contract we have full hookups and having the washer and dryer then is invaluable!! When you realize late in the evening that you are out of clean uniforms you don't have to pack up and go to the laundrymat. Much more convenient in that regard.I did give up some space but for me the tradeoff was worth it. I used to think it wasn't (we have fulltimed for 3 yrs now) but now it is!

Oh i do ENJOY washing and drying in my motorhome..... So did not want to do the laundrymat thing....... We try to do a fhu every 5 days or so to keep up with it.... And now it is so great to come home after a month on the road, with mostly clean clothes.. I have a w/d combo and love it.... Yes it takes longer, but that hasnt been a problem.... And since i had it installed before we bought it, i have never missed the space.....
