Not very happy w/our excel:
2nd year flooring in bedroom soft (repaired under warranty)
3rd year flooring under sofa & entertainment slide rotted (design flaw) Excel paid half of repairs.
3 1/2 year fresh water tank, graywater tank won't hold water
sofa slide has gap at top of slide and wind pours in when blowing (hopefully extended warranty will cover)

We hope the rest of you Excel Owners have better luck w/your unit

Mike & Candy
Texas

Sorry to hear of your problems Mike BUT its not just your Mfg that has problems with quality control.
If you can find some of the problems that are obvious during a PDI and have a dealer that can resolve them is sometimes a bigger problem.
My Newmar had some problems that I took care of because of poor dealership which lost the Newmar franchise after I bought my coach.
The factory repair center was helpful on some items that I could not resolve which is a plus and went out of there way to correct things they found wrong.
Will it change haven't seen it yet people come here for help all the time.

Welcome to the "Citrus Forest."

My DW calls ours "The Citrus." She's just trying to be polite.

So don't think it just applies to your brand.

All in all, our last trip produced no problems. It was a strange feeling after two years.

Good luck. Hope it all passes soon.

So sorry to hear of any RV with problems. It seems like Excel went through a period wit quality control issues and their long standing reputation for a quality unit has suffered. Contact Bryan at Petersen Ind. and tell him of the problems and see how he can help. They seem to be listening to customers with problems and trying to get the QC under control. It would be worth a phone call. He is on this forum and monitors it.

Sounds to me that the seals on your cable valves need replacing, when the factory fixed you bed room slide did they show you how to do preventive maintenance? Just wondering what your maintenance program is, if you do it yourself or have a dealer do it for you and why it hasn't worked?
