The S&B has been on the market for about 5 months; we've had only one showing. I talked to my Realtor last Thursday (30 Jun) to see what she thought about us renting it (she also does property management). She said the rental market was better than the sales market, so she listed it right away. The calls started coming in the next day; 5 of them! I showed the house to a family on Saturday afternoon (Realtor was booked, and I didn't have anything else to do anyway). They LOVED the house and called the Realtor immediately. Scramble, scramble, scramble on our part to clean up everything and move the rest of our belonging out on Monday and Tuesday. The tenants move in TODAY!

We are now "real" fulltimers!

Unfortunately, Jan & I both work still work, so trips are limited to available vacation time. I think we are planning to fly out to FL to visit with my parents this Fall (haven't seen them in a while). We'll make it to one of the Excel campouts one day, though!

Good Luck !

A sell would have been better....but at least its a step forward.

A friend in the Washington DC area put his house on the market 6 weeks ago and got a contract Sunday. Like everything else....the DC area hasn't felt what the rest of the country has.

Has 30 days to close...so guess I will be heading north as part of the strong back, weak mind group.
