I wanted to get a couple of 12 volt bulbs to keep on hand and I can't figure out how many watts the current bulbs are. Can anyone help?

Also, I couldn't figure out how to get to the bulbs on the reading lights at the rear (33RSE). I assume those are halogen bulbs, but how do you get to them?

Thanks!

On the reading light bulbs, push in/up and twist just like an automotive bulb. They may be had to find. I just bought at SC during the Reunion.

On the other bulbs, take them out and go to a auto supply store and they should have them.

Also go through Workshop's info above in the stickey's. He listed most if not all bulbs used on the Excel.

So far I have found every bulb I've needed at Wal*Mart. Even the 10W or 20W ones over the bathroom sink that have the two wires stickin out of the bottom of the bulb. Amazing.

PS I chose 20W for over the bathroom sink and when I got home I discovered that the 20W is brighter that the other two. Moral of that story is I should have bought the 10W.

Thanks. Any idea about the wattage of the bulbs in the living area--such as over the dining table?

Using Workhorse's "sticky" above called Restoration 101, I think my dining room bulbs are 921's and I believe they are 16.4W.

Could be 912's and in that case they would be 12W. Both bulbs look the same to me and there are no markings on them. "Work" doesn't have the same dining room fixture as I do but the bulbs appear similar. Thinking logically which is hard for me to do, maybe the multi bulb fixtures take the 12W and the single bulb fixtures take the 16.4W bulbs???

I needed both in my unit so I bought both. Problem is I threw away the packaging and now can't tell the 12W from the 16.4 or even if I have all one strength in my stash.
OK, on to something frivolous!

I'm not sure if I had it in my post on the lighting in my unit.....but there was a sticker/label near the base of the bulb on 90%, if not all of the fixtures. Might have to remove the lens to see it.

Yes its hard to read the printed numbers on the small wedge bulbs and without it...can't tell the difference. Even the ones with the brass base are hard to read these days. The 'lead' based lettering used by China these days just don't hold up. To make it easier to read the number on the bulbs, without my glasses', I used a marker to mark the bulb.

Remember that you can go down in wattage but not up and be safe. Most might never have a problem using a higher wattage but it's the total of the sums of all the bulbs/wattage that might make the difference. I had some circuits that had 2-3 fixtures on a 10-15amp fuse and some that had 6-7 fixtures for the same size fuse. Its the amperage draw on the fuse that makes it safe...not the number of fixtures.

It's interesting that the more information we have, there is still things we don't know....

I have several different types of bulbs in my coach. The ones with the bayonet base (The kind you push in and twist a bit to pull out) have numbers on the base, Just get the same number, most auto-parts places have 'em The Wedge base may have a visible number but the size of the bulb is unique to the wattage so take one with you

I have two round 'Down lights' that have pins, Those are special, 10 watt, I got them at Camping World, my RV dealer, who has a very good stock of thigns, did not have 'em, my next stop would have been a lighting store

The other lights I have are one bayonet based "Spot" light (reflector type bulb) any RV store and some track lights.. I will get those at the light store as the size I need are hard to find.. Wattage is clearly printed on the reflector's outside.
