Where Are You Taking Your Excel This Year

I think we did this last year so thought I would start a new one if that is ok.

Vickie and I do one major trip each year, usually 4 to 6 weeks. This year we are looking at a fall foliage trip to the New England area. We will start with a trip to Minnesota for her class reunion the weekend of September 20. We are thinking we will then head to St. Ignace, MI for the Mackinac Island thing. We would then like to head up to Sault Ste. Marie and take Canada Highway 17 eventually to Montreal, then to Bar Harbor, Maine and Acadia NP. From there we will work our way back home with some stops along the way. About 4300 miles, which is a couple hundred miles shorter than our western swing we did last year. It gets a little dicey as I am afraid we are hitting this area a little late in the year for some of the camp grounds to be open. A back up plan is to drop down to Flint from St. Ignace and then head east.

We'll also go to Branson a few times and hopefully a week here and there at one of our local lakes for some serious bass and crappie fishing.

We went to Atlanta, GA in January. Heading to San Diego, CA in April. In August we will visit the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Interspersed we have and will camp in and around Texas.

All the while working nearly full time.

Should be a fun year.

We will head through Texas, again, starting on the 1st of April heading to Biloxi, MS for a few days and then on to Calera AL for 4 months. After that we will go up to Central NY to await the birth of our second Granchild. Once that blessed event happens it will be back to Smith Center for some warranty work and then back down to Mesa AZ for our winter stay.

Our Boys are book-ending our 2014-2015 winter with a birth and a marriage. We originally planned on some sight-seeing up the west coast and along the north boarder but children have interrupted that plan.
