Yea, but I get to see the frying pan from a different perspective and I appreciate the frying pan more.

What cracks me up is the people on some of these forums saying they live on $35,000 a year on the road! Ha. Our goal when we started out 13 years ago set by our financial planner was $59,500. a year limit. That ain't never happened and we workcamped 7 summers for site and electric (and some other benees). We came close the second year out.....but 2 years ago it was slightly over $100,000. Anyway that's the way it goes. I'd hate to see what we'd do, if I relaxed and just cut loose!
I try to save a buck when I can, but I gave up coupon clipping. Turns out I ended up spending a dollar to save a dime on something I really didn't need. Now I save a whole dollar. That is a 900% savings. Enough of those and I could afford a $175 dollar restaurant bill.

About ten years ago when I started looking into RV'ing, an elderly gentleman told me that RV's will nickel and dime you to death. I guess inflation has changed that, I would feel very fortunate if it was just nickels and dimes.

We are at Mountain Views RV in Creede, Colorado for the Excel Family Reunion Rally 9/11-15 and the Colorado Excel Rally 9/15-17. The Excels are already rolling in.
The park is very nice. There is much to see and do, in and around Creede.

Nice and thanks for sharing. I got to meet the owner of that park in the Houston area. He was nosing around in a 10-10-10 park down there trying to get some ideas. Have fun Doc.

Hey Doc, check out space #201 in the resort side next to the little pond by the main gate. You may recognize the names.

We love the place. Oh, by the way, I am sooooo jealous right now. We missed the trip this year.

You need to check out the Riverside Restaurant at The Antlers. Take a right out of the park/resort, then a left at 149 and go about 3.5 miles. The food is very good and you can see the river while you eat.

Have fun and say hi to Janice for us.

Yea, the tarp was only supposed to last through this past winter. It was a short-term fix. I was going to find some better materials here in DFW and make a better cover. That didn't happen since we couldn't make it to Creede. There's always next year.

Been up in Seward, Alaska this week and ran saw another Excel here, only other one we've seen on this trip in ten weeks and 7,000 miles in Canada and Alaska. Heard about one parked full time in Fairbanks, but never saw it.

We're at Renfro's Lakeside Retreat about 20 miles north of Seward. The park host here has a '13 Excel. I've only seen a few Excels on this trip. I saw one in the Seward city campground by the harbor yesterday.

The Excel in the Seward city park is the same one we saw yesterday. We'll be moving up to Quartz Creek CG tomorrow for five days. Hope to fish on the Rission River.

1992 Legacy permanently parked at Crazy Acres in Ackley, IA along with our 2016 FR Wildcat 323RBX. Bought it in July this year as a "guest house" for family and friends. Well built old girl. Too bad they don't make RV's like this anymore.
