Hi all
I need information from the more well travelled members concerning YNP. We're headed bach to the midwest after being on the road for almost two months. The dw wants to stop at YNP with our daughter. My concern is how the heck to get over to Rt 395 from Groveland,California? We need to get over to I 40 so I can get the daughter to Flagstaff or Albuquerque to catch a flight home.
Any assistance would be appreicated.

I live just outside of Yosemite in Mammoth Lakes on the east side of the park. If you are in Yosemite Valley it would almost be impossible to take the Tioga Pass road to Hwy 395 because of low tunnels. Check with the Park Service on the exact height but I would not take my Excel 5th wheel on that road. That would mean leaving the park and traveling back down to southern CA and cutting east on Hwy 58 at Bakersfield if you are headed to AZ or NM.

Good luck,
Bill Dunlap

Thanks BDunlap the more I read the less confident I become since I was told my brakes are somewhere around 60 to 70 percent I think I'll take the long route to Bakersfield.
