I have 3 or 4 grease zerks that will not take grease. I have tried jacking up the springs some as well as removing zerk and pushing grease through it put zerk back on and still wont take. I also drove the trailer around to reposition and still no grease will go. Is it possible the seals are so tight that the grease just wont push out the sides and are therefore okay? Any thoughts

Paul,
Only option I can think of is to use a pressurized grease gun versus the hand-pump type.

Paul,

I have 2 fittings on my 04 that will not take grease. They have been that way since new. Mine will take grease from a pressurized gun.

Paul(Max1),
I have 4 zerks doing the same since new. I have to agree that the pressurised is the way to go. However, I have been able to get them to take grease, by jacking up the frame to the point of relieving all tension off the spring near that zerk and it will finally take the grease with a hand gun.

BTW....I thought you were fishin'.....went thru Minot last week, but thought you were fishin'. Sorry I missed you.

I had the same problem, and I just loosended the nut on the other side of the shackle and the grease went through. Be sure to tighten back up. Good luck

I had to jack up the trailer with one jack, then use another jack under one of the springs, remove the bushing, clean out the hole that lets the grease out into the bushing, then enlarge the hole SLIGHTY. The second jack helps in lining everything back up. I also use some big back-up blocks under the trailer in case the first jack slips.
