I am referring to any change in NKK policies regarding efforts to attract new members or most any other change from the status quo.

As Gary explained in greater detail, the NKK reflects the conservative view of Newmar. Both are hesitant to move in a new direction that would be a change from their traditional operations.

Any change in NKK policy desired by the NKK would have to be approved by Newmar.

What "change" are you talking about?? Are you saying that the Newmar NKK initiative does NOT encourage members of the NKK to figure out various ways of attracting and building NKK membership??? Guess I don't understand.

My wife and I joined the NKK this past September. The thought process was to get information, club news, ideas, travel tips from individuals 'in the know.' So far... zero communications.

I'm not sure if what I expected was off base, or the NKK just is not very active. While it is very strongly appreciated that NEWMAR picked up the membership cost of my second year in the club, I'm wondering what exactly I should expect.

Can anyone advise as I didn't really receive much info from the attendant located in Nappanee, IN.

Hi a10koaksfed,

Welcome to the NKK. Please let me know where you are located. I can introduce you to the appropriate NKK officers for your area. Also, the NKK web site at Welcome to Newmar Kountry Klub is where you can find Klub activities that may interest you.

Joining the NKK is the first step. By reading the web site you'll see there are ways to participate.
1. join a chapter in your area
2. attend a special event
3. attend a state, region or International rally

Post here or PM me as you have questions.

Hi Kelly and Tom,
For your area the contact information is:

Region 1 includes AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV and UT.

California State Directors
Bill & Sue Conway
949-680-9629 or 949-837-5589
w.conway@cox.net
They are responsible for the State of California.

California has 3 NKK chapters. The presidents contact information is:
California 49ers
Bud and Darlene Dyer
bdyer91520@aol.com

California Golden Aires
Jim and Bev Meyer
coyotemeyer@gmail.com

California Golden Bears

I do not know which chapter would be best for a member living in the Los Angeles area. Feel free to contact any of these folks. My recommendation is for you to contact the California State Director. They can best provide you with information on how to become more involved.

A10: Gary's suggestion to contact your state and local chapters was the thing to do. We joined last winter and knew only 1 couple in NKK and they were not anywhere nearby. BUT, we had a wonderful chapter president who did everything she could to introduce us to other people when we attended our first NKK event which was the International rally this year. The chapter members warmed up to us quickly and we also met many very nice people not in our chapter. I guess I'm saying attend a rally or some kind of NKK event and with a little effort on everyone's part, I think you'll quickly have many friends. It sure worked for us. I can see without the contact info or without someone contacting you from the local chapter it would be hard to get involved. Best luck. It's a great club.
