I did. I left mine, told them to call me when it's done. Supposed to be in the 60's this week. Pretty full up there. Only 2 sites vacant on Monday AM.

Hi enjoyrv,
For time on the Gulf side (the left coast) consider:
1. Upriver RV Resort I75, exit 143. 239-543-3330 (Ft. Myers area)
2. Pine Island Resort KOA, on or very near the Gulf, 239-283-2415 (Ft. Myers area)
3. Riverbend Motor Coach Resort I75, exit 141 about 18 miles east on Route 80. 866-787-4837. Many Newmar owners own a lot here. Including iRV2's very own Doctor of Mixology (one of the Amigos). (Ft. Myers area)

Time on the Atlantic side (the right coast) consider:
1. The Great Outdoors, I95, exit 215, 800-621-2267 Near Kennedy Space Center
2. Treasure Coast RV Resort, I95 exit 129 (Ft. Pierce area) 772-468-2099
3. Lion Country Safari (West Palm Beach area) 561-793-1084. About 20 miles from the beach. Wake to the sounds of lions that are ready for breakfast.

For a real adventure, consider this resort.
1. Sunshine Key RV Resort and Marina - mile marker 39 on route 1 in the Florida Keys. Perfectly placed 39 miles from Key West and just south of Marathon. One can go North or South for things to keep you busy. 305-872-2217.

If these are not to your liking, provide additional information and I'll try again.

Hi folks:

We'reat our home in Marana, AZ, exit 240 on I-10, just north of Tucson. We'll have to get together. Looks like we'll be here for at leat three months, as Sue will probably have shoulder surgery soon and is looking at three months of PT.

Be sure to check the Klub Calendar of Events on the Klub website, as there a lot of NKK breakfasts and luncheons in the Casa Grande/Tucson/Phoenix area. We will be regular attendees at the luncheons in Tucson and will try to make it up to Casa Grande for a breakfast or two.

Still not sure if we'll make Quartzsite. It will largely depend on how Sue recovers from her surgery.

Jim & Sue:

HiYa from Desert Shadows/WHR in Casa Grande (W. Rodeo Rd., Site #50). Gee, you guys aren't far from us. Lynette and I will be hanging here in Casa Grande till around Jan. 14th and do plan on attending a breakfast or two. Have been in touch with Knolls (?) the Regional Dir. parked in Eloy and plan to visit them.

Sure hope Sue's surgery and rehab go well. And....Jim.....just remember she can still swing the ol rolling pin with her other arm, so be sure to do what she says!!!!

I'm more worried about her cast-iron skillet!

Might the couple you met have been Ken and Sharon Koch? They are our Region 4 Directors. Didn't know they were in the area, but we'll drop them a note.

Don't forget the Tucson Luncheons at Mimi's on the first Tuesday of the month. These are always on our schedule and are usually pretty well attended.

Look forward to seeing you soon!

Don't want to change the subject too much, but wondering if anyone has stayed at Buckhorn in Kerrville, TX during the month of January? And...how was the weather? Thanks

Jim & Sue:

Haven't met em yet, and I've got to find their last name wherever we put it. Thought it was KNOLL, but maybe KOCH.??

Tom (Skipper 05MA):

Haven't yet stayed in Kerrville, but plan to. Heard it's a great spot. Hopefully someone else will have and answer.

GaryKD. Made reservations today at Riverbend Motor Coach Resort for a month following the Tampa RV show. Then, we will spend a few days at Disney or nearby. May head over to Treasure Coast RV resort after that. Thanks for your help with suggestions.

Any one stay at Sherwood Forest RV resort up in Orlando near Disney?

I have not stayed at Sherwood Forest in many years. The only other, higher end CG in that area is Tropical Palms (TP). In the winter, I would recommend TP. It is an old CG but the owners have been making many improvements. The location can not be beat.

We haven't stayed at Buckhorn but we live in the area (San Antonio) and have friends we visit often near Kerrville. January weather can be pretty dicey and it varies a lot from year to year. It can range from pretty fair, to pretty unfair. You just have to keep watching it. Last year there were temps in the teens and some ice and snow. It can clear up and melt in a very short time, however and end up the week in the 60's.

It's a great area to visit. The Buckhorn RV Park looks like a good place, but we have never driven through to visit since it is only 50 miles from where we live.

Thanks for the "weather" for Kerrville. We have been watching the temps and they do vary a lot. For what it's worth, some of the forecasts say TX is supposed to be above average this winter. Thanks again.
