Guess I'd ask you to be more specific on the "No's" you are referring to before I can comment on them.
As far as the Board meeting is concerned, we reviewed plans for the upcoming International Rally and discussed things that can be done to help attract and retain Klub members and recruit volunteers for leadership positions. Membership communications concerning output from the meeting is the responsibility of the International Directors and they will be providing comments as they deem appropriate.
At the Board meeting, I made a presentation concerning the Klub's communication processes and my recommendations for ways to improve them. If you've been a regular reader of my comments in the Konnection, my views should be well known to you. I want to see more frequent, timely communications from the Klub on a regular basis, and we will be talking more about some of these ideas in the near future.
We recently instituted a monthly email message from the Klub to all members. If you haven't received the March and April emails, we may not have your correct email address or they may be getting trapped in a SPAM filter.
We are also looking for a way to provide an on-line, password-protected membership directory that can be set up and maintained at an affordable cost, in terms of both financial and human resources. Once we get the International Rally behind us, we also want to structure and conduct a survey to determine what content our members want in the Konnection and other printed and electronic communications.
For all of the challenges the Klub is facing, it may be worthwhile to look on the bright side. I recently had an opportunity to talk with the owner of a firm that provides management services to manufacturer-sponsored RV clubs similar to the NKK. As recently as a few years ago, this group managed eleven clubs. There is currently only one of those clubs that has survived. I think we are pretty fortunate to have a club that is still functioning and a sponsoring company still willing to provide their support for us.
