07 Damon Challenger 376 battery disconnect

It's probably been posted here before but I can't find it. My battery disconnect isn't working. I went out to the coach a couple days ago and found my chassy batteries drained. I just bought this used from a private owner a month ago and I just thought the battery disconnect switch was quiet. However, while at the campground, another friendly camper said that there should be a clunk sound when pushing this switch. I have found on other threads that the solenoid is located either near the battery box under the entry steps or in the engine compartment. So, where do I start troubleshooting? I bought a replacement switch and will replace that today.

The battery disconnect (AKA Salesman switch) controls the black plastic solenoid on the Battery Control Center (BCC by Intellitec) that looks like this:

Size:	290.2 KB
ID:	139470

It "should" be mounted on the exterior side of the firewall or near the batteries. Every Damon I have ever seen had the BCC mounted "inverted" so the metal solenoid was at the bottom and the fuse markings were up-side-down.

The solenoid should "clunk" on and off with the battery disconnect.
These solenoids will fail over time, so the switch might be good (replacement not needed).

Finally, the Battery Disconnect does not totally isolate the house battery bank (like the solenoid itself is a draw) and the house battery can be drained over time without adding a real mechanical disconnect or occasional charging.

Best luck

Easy fix

It turns out that the very bottom 25 amp fuse was not installed. I put in a new one and now good to go and works great. Thanks all for your input!!!
