We currently have a 2011 Damon Challenger 38' and really like it. We have put about 12,000 miles on thus far and have had very few issues (most I have resolved myself). My friend also has an '07 Challenger and he has had very few problems. For my money, they are a well built coach for the cost. We will be moving up to a Tuscany, however, to full-time and to get the extra room. Our Challenger will be going on the market in the next two months as the search for the Tuscany begins in earnest.

Good luck with your upcoming purchase!

Bronk

We have an 2008 Challenger 378 but have the Work Horse chassis. We bought it used with 14,000 miles. We have not had any big problems with it and enjoy it very much.

I purchased a 2008 376 Challenger last Oct. from a local RV dealer. I'm very happy with the coach and the deal I got from the Dealer, but I wished I'd spent more time looking over the little things. They repaired most everything I found no problem, but I missed a few things until it was too late to cover under their 30 day repair policy. Check to make sure the generator service is update and the tires are in good shape. I'm having the shocks replaced next week Koni's FSD and adding a front sway bar. I did buy a additional 7 year service agreement from American Guardian which I've already used and has given me piece of mind.
Good Luck.

The leatherette seats on the captain chairs and couches are not leather. They are made of vinyl and there have been many bad batches which deteriorate over time and look really nasty. People start blaming the chemicals they use to clean it when all the time there is nothing they can do because Damon supplied defective material to flex steel, the manufacturer of the furniture. Damon is well aware of this and is giving the skins for the furniture to replace the defective material. The problem is that the material they are giving is the same defective material as the original. The installation is on the owner of the rig. My questions is two fold. Who would pay to have defective material installed knowing it will only last about 3 years unless that person is going to sell and get rid of the problem completely. Why does Damon not stand behind its product and chooses to hide behind its warranty. Damon/Thor is not a reputable company and should be called out on it. Again, check out the Deteriorating Leather section of the Damon forum and see how common this problem is.
