2005 Damon Daybreak tv hookup

My father in-law has this motorhome and I'm trying to figure out if it has an antenna booster. I see the cable hookup plate above the passenger in the cabinet but it does not have the power button to turn on the booster. Am I missing something? This is the 3060 model on the Ford chassis. Any help would be be appreciated.

Unless someone has changed the outlet, it should have a very small button. There are two coax connection, one for TV (Which is from the antenna). The other should say cable. To the right of these you will find a very small button. The green light should illuminate when the booster is on. That means you should be using the TV coax connection. With the light off, mean you are connecting to a cable connection. This connection for cable is in the compartment where the power cord is located. When you open the door, it is on the upper left wall. You will see a phone connection and a cable connection. Some have a cable connection on the wall behind the Kitchen slide wall, as well as a place to plug a phone. Hope this helps, let use know what you find, it helps others.

Safe Travels.

Hawkeye1995 thanks! That is what I thought it should be. When I pulled the plate from the wall there was no booster on the back of the plate. I will have to look inside the cut out to see if the power wires are in there. Looks like when they upgraded the TV something was changed. I will update with what I find.
Thanks again.

My 2010 Daybreak doesn't have a power button on the plate either and there is only one coax connection on that plate. It does have a power booster for the antenna that is powered by the 'box of many buttons' that selects output for all the TVs in the coach.

The wall plate is there but the booster is not on the back of the plate. I'm thinking maybe they had to move booster to reach the 12V power or the cable. I still need to look more.

It is my understanding that the batwing antenna has a built in booster, all you need to do is supply 12 volts to the back of the face plate. There is a wiring diagram on the form somewhere. It will show how the cables must hook up on the back, plus show the 12 volt connection to the face plate. The two main antenna providers list the booster as a built in function. When you push the button, the 12 volt is supplied to the antenna through the coax cable. The is no external booster to my knowledge. Is the 12 volt wire hooked up to the back of the face plate? Are the cables hooked up correctly? That may be your only Problem. If everything is hooked up correctly, you antenna is probably at fault.

Try this. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f53/satel...-260222-2.html

This will show how the coax cables should like on the original and then how to connect using a satellite.

If you do not want to buy a new amplified antenna, you can use this. https://www.amazon.com/Winegard-LNA-.../dp/B00DQN3R9O

This would be cheaper than a new antenna.

I found the booster behind the wall. The power was not plugged in. So I plugged it into the booster and all is good.
