2009 Damon Astoria water problem resolved!

I have had low to no water pressure in my 09 Astoria model 3776. I purchased it a year and a half ago. I recently replaced the shallow fiberglass sink for a deeper SS drop-in. While disconnecting the old sink plumbing I noticed there was an in-line water filter behind the drawers next to the stove. I have a 3 stage whole RV Water filer where the water enters. I pulled out the 7 year old filter and replaced it with a short piece of PVC pipe and two 1/2" fittings. 100% water pressure improvement.

Thanks. We have a 2008 Astoria we just purchased with a similar problem. I found the filter. Now to decide to change that filter or go with the whole house filter.

The filter that was there was original! Gross deposits came out after I knocked it around a little and put water through it. Yuck! I'll take a picture of my water filter set up tomorrow. I filter everything before going into the tank/system. Flush and sterilize every 3-4 months with bleach.

Hi, I'd be interested in where you bought your SS Drop-in. We want to buy a larger single bowel sink for our 2008 3786. The original sink is too shallow to put a pot in it.

Our current sink is under mount on the island. Did you have difficulty removing it? Did you have to remove the counter?

A final installed picture would be wonderful.

Thanks in advanced.

Steve

I bought the sink on Amazon. Shipped right to my door. It's an Elkay model#ECTRU2417U. $236.39. I intended to keep it an undermount but the corners didn't fit where the old sink was. I trimmed the corners and dropped it in. Had the move the p-traps underneath but all in all it was a couple hour job. I cut the counter with a jig saw. I could have hired someone to come cut and round the counters for but decided to just drop it in. If I had to do it again I would have bought an above mount. Above mount has a nicer finished tapered edge, mine is square.

Here is a picture of my whole system filtration. Turn of a valve and I flush my black tank. Carbon filter first followed by a 5 micron paper.
