Mark, You should have the dealer turn on the fridge sometime before you go check it out to be sure it gets cold. You will also want to check everything to be sure all works. Furnace, generator, air conditioner, water heater & pump, etc. Tires are tough. Tread may be great depending on mileage, but if they are original, then you could have problems on a long trip. Tires should ideally be replaced after 6 to 7 years. Check for cracks in sidewalls. There should be a manufacturers stamp on the tire with the year it was made. Motor homes are a complex piece of equipment. Anxiety and excitement can make you overlook problems. Just be careful and use your best judgment. If you find some things that aren't to your liking, maybe you can use them for bargaining power with the dealer. Be sure to check the roof and especially the interior very carefully for any signs of leakage. Sometimes under windows the walls can be rotted and hidden by just the wall paper or vinyl covering. I have seen that personally in used motor homes. A lot can depend on mileage, but more so on how it was taken care of by previous owners. Good luck and let us know how you make out. John H....
