I just wanted to take a look see. To see what was there and why I would need to. Well,, there are 4 bolts/screws, one on each corner. The carpet is stapled to it. I pried a little but stopped cause it didn't seem like it wanted to come up. And I didn't want to cause something I couldn't handle.
I wander went or why would I ever need to get in there? And how to do it without hurting anything? I looked in my manual but didn't find anything.

Thanks,
Ron

i have had my cover up a few times
if your talking about the staples on the outer edge that connect the panel to the other carpet, I pulled mine out and left the ones on that are attaching the carpet to the panel itself

a word of caution
the panel is HEAVY and will ding your trim if your not slow and steady
i took a piece of tubing and split it so it would hug the metal panel and prevent trim boards nicks and dings
