Added the water softener

Thanks to DR4film

I ordered up a travelsoft 1200
took about 5 hrs to install and make it easy for me to backwash and regenerate.
i put in two valves in the wet bay that will allow me to do all the wet work and not get water in the dry areas of the basement

now we are ready for san antonio again....

Dont have any idea why the pic rotated
anywho...
i snapped one more of the wet bay, still need to tidy up a few items but all the valves are in and working

this allows me to isolate the outlet line of the softener and divert the flow through the chrome vale and out the yellow drain when i do the regeneration cycle, that way i have less chance of making a "wet" in the dry bay where the softener is located.

i may run a hose for the backwash as well, but will decide after my first backwash
the line with the clamp is a factory line, i had missed when i replaced all the hose clamp lines, so now i have to make one that is swedged vice clamped.

We did a two week test camp in far west san antonio
water at the campsite nozzle was over 130 ppm so pretty darn HARD
i had to regenerate the unit twice during our stay
it was pretty easy to feel the water get less soft and know when to regenerate.
my their scale and paperwork at 130 grans we should get around 300 gallons per recharge.
i had three peoples and we drank lots of water from the RO unit so that used 4 gallons per gallon made,
over all the regen process was easy
I need to add a line to stay connected to the back wash port so i can stop dribbling water in the basement when i connect a drain hose.
maybe route it back through to the wet bay and into the grey water drain connection.
I backwashed 5 minutes and then did the regen for 15 or so until the water was clear.
overall
I like the setup and sytem
