Hello All,

Before I purshased my 93 Challenger 34foot the air bags in the front springs were replaced.I know they are very new because they are so clean.
I do not know what make they are because I can not see a brand name on them. All I know is they are blue.I was just wondering what the typical inflation pressure ( how many lbs ) the air bags should be inflated to.

Thanks
Larry

That all depends. I had four air bags on my P-30 chassis 1990 30 foot Mallard Sprinter. The air bags are there for lift, stability, and to prevent the suspension from bottoming out. It's a fine line, the adjustment. To much air pressure and the coach rides like a buckboard, not enough and it bottoms out. I would start at 35 pounds and go from there. If I remeber correctly, I ended up with 40 psi in the front and 55 in the back. They advise that you always keep air in them otherwise they could get cut.

You'll know if you have too much, believe me.

Hmmm, I run 85 or 90 lbs in my '05 Daybreak, P-32. Maybe the older ones were different. I always thought it rode fine. I have no idea what 35 or 40 lbs would feel like.
I don't think I want to try it because I think it rides to low in the front even with 90 lbs .

BTW, I have one black bag original and am on the 3rd bag on driver side and they put a red, well really it's hot pink in. At least it held air for over a year, this time.
I think I've read somwhere that if you have a 6000lb , wide track front axle, your supposed to have at least 80 or 85 lbs but I don't remember what it said about the 5000lb axle.
