Another Intruder Mystery

Found a pigtail mystery connector just hanging in the breeze. It's out of the harness that feeds the A/C components. I looked all around the area to see if there was an appropriate mating connector, but no luck. Any thoughts?

A lot of times they install wiring that is not needed for the unit it's in. But that one looks like it's been connected although dirt could easily be knocked off.

I wonder... could it be been meant for an engine block heater?
