I have a mirror on my galley wall that is held on by (4) plastic clips. They don't look very much different than house hold clips.

IF I were wanting to get that mirror on the wall so it won't come under normal use, try some Industrial Strength (Gray - rectangular) Velcro strips. I saw some at Lowes. Once the mirror is on, it'll stay in place. If you want it off, you can take it off anytime with a little pressure in the right places. This might be a work around for you.

We have many things hung on the walls heavy large picture frames most are just screwed into the plywood walls just ling enough for thickness of wall its hung on, no problems that way with wiring or piping.
If your mirror doesn't have a frame you can use the plastic clips for mirror's and find wall studding, staples through plywood, to screw into. Place at lease 6 clips two on both ends so mirror can not move to side.
