The last few days I have been on "bed rest" and was watching my favorite dvd's
i noticed the Jensen unit has an AUX input, when i selected it i figured i would get the sound from the tv to the speakers right above my head...but alas this was not so.
is anyone else's wired to receive audio from the bedroom tv? Or did i jsut add another MOD to my list of do's

I cannot STAND that crappy Jensen unit. It is on my side of the bed and I always hit it at night turning it on and inevitably the speakers are set up and blast us awake. Could they think of a better place to put it than right there?

I have not tried to connect anything to the AUX input. As for another mod, how about someone recognize that maybe, just maybe, we would like to have surround in the bedroom as well? Since you always end up watching half of the movies or TV from there at night.

Speaking of mods, I drilled a 1-1/4" hole in the upper cabinet into the TV compartment and set a small DVD player up and ran the power and connection cables to the TV. The cabinet door opens for access to the player and then you close the door and never knew it was there. It is a small footprint DVD player (a little bigger than the size of a book) so it takes up almost no room in the cabinet.

when we were having so much trouble with the first dash unit
i installed a dvd player recorder unit in the bedroom.
and now with the new dash unit i get full sound in the bedroom, but
the quality is a bit lacking
wife was just quizzing me about speakers in the ceiling.....

i roll on my stereo often, but i learned to turn the sound to zero
when we first moved in the thing was going off every morning around 530, took me a few days to figure it out

I turn it down but my pillow and/or the comforter rub up against it. I've gotten better about it coming on but it still does from time to time....

We have a cheep Radio Cassette Player in our 99 Tradewinds. I unplugged it and ran wires behind the ceiling moulding to a amplifier connected to the earphone out of the bedroom TV. Then connected this audio to the speakers over the bed. A isolation transformer was required to knock down the hum but it works fine. Now the radio is a hole filler.

I have not tried the Aux Input, but when I play a DVD or satellite, the sound comes out of my speakers overhead as well as the TV. Haven't done aything special, just was that way. Perhaps not hooked up properly? Or, there are 3 speaker buttons on the face below the irritating blue display that blinds me all night. My most left button is illuminated.

If your Television has audio Line Out (normally red and white RCA or Phono (2 names same thing) jacks or a 1/8 inch phone plug socket) then you can get a cable at most any audio/television/Radio Shack store that will match up with the AUX in on the Jensen.

However facroty installed... I don't think so

NOT many tv's have line out

my tv does have the aux outputs as does the flat screen thats about to go in its place.

running the wires might be a challenge to go out of one slide and across the coach to the other slide
