After 13 years your paint is faded and so if you get the original paint it will not match what you have now. Try to find a part that you can remove and take it to a good auto paint store and have them match it by computer. The result will be a much better match for your existing paint than would be the original factory paint color.

I agree your factory paint has faded and is no longer the original color. However, to determine what it had to begin with there is a "build sheet" somewhere inside the coach that has the stock color codes on it. In my 2002 Intruder 350 it is in the large wardrobe closet on the back wall. Your layout is different, but it's probably inside one of the closets. It's a pretty large sticker and lists all the options on the coach as built. Hope that helps.

Thanks cskfleet for this information. I will check it out. However, I have already placed it with a body shop. Happy Holidays.

As a follow up and to close out this thread:

I paid $800 for this repair and was well please. I discovered that most shops didn't want to bother with this 'small non-insurance' job. This shop said that the original specified color in 2004 and the same in 2018 didn't quite match, but only a careful observation reveals this. Needless to say again, that I am well pleased with the fiberglass work and the paint job and the turn around time of about a week.

Thanks for every comment made.

John

In my 2003 Damon Ultrasport DP the spec sheet for paint is located in the bedroom closet.
