DW & I were supposed to pickup our new 2008 Damon Astoria 3776 tomorrow. This is our first NEW coach and we are very excited. We have inspected the coach a couple of times and the dealer has bent over backwards to make the deal and take care of our requests.
This blizzard that is supposed to hit here in NE Wyoming and the Blackhills of SD is gonna keep us at home. Looks like we will not be able to make it over to the dealer until next week.
Dan

Oh that's terrible.. Well fire up your snow-cat and go visit the dealer cause a week it a terrible thing to waste when the rig is sitting on their lot!!!!
Alas, being from Michigan I do not have the local contact info for 'Snow-cats are US"
(For those who don't know a Snow Cat is kind of a half-track-half ski, cross between a snow mobile and a pick up truck or SUV)

Dan,
Welcome aboard. We are glad to have you here.
Since we are going to be in Custer for about 3 months this spring, it would be nice to have a Damon dealer to rely on if the need arises. Could you share the name and location of the dealer with us?
I believe you will find the Damon is a very pleasant coach to drive and live in.

Doc,
There was a Damon dealer in Whitewood, SD which is between Sturgis and Spearfish, SD. I tried opening there web page but it wouldn't open. Anyway they were in business last June.

Yes, the dealership is Northern Hills Homes & RV in Whitewood. The website has been down all day. Probably due to the snow storm. www.nhhrv.com
So far, so good with them...

Ah - Anticipation. Makes everything even sweeter when it happens.
When I started RVing, it was during the Holiday Blizzard of 2006 in Denver - I was snowed in for a week!!!! And all I wanted was to get to Dauphin Island and the sunshine!! Hang in there!!

Thanks guys, I believe I know the location from 07 trip out there. We are almost out of warranty, but if some of the previous bugs re-emerge, then I want to be ready.

Hey Dan,
First Welcome Aboard and Good Luck with the new Rig. When the day finally arrives and your traveling down the road in your beautiful rig you won't be able to remember your disappointment. It will be fantastic!!! Again best of luck.

Nope, still haven't made it over to the dealer to pick it up. I am still clearing the drift out of the driveway. We have ANOTHER storm on its way. Should hit us on Sunday night and Monday with another 8" to 10" of snow and wind.
Looks like it will be April 6th before we get the coach picked up..

OK it's a little selfish but I hope it's all gone for next Sunday. I'm strappin in the Goldwing and head'n for Omaha. The Goldwing doesn't handle well in the snow. I also have no idea how the Outlaw handles it either. I'll just hope that I don't come across any.
