It's too late to make Damon fix it ,for me because my Daybreak is now 5 years old.
I've always checked my brake lights with the 4 way flashers and at night with the rear view camera. With my electrical issues lately I decided to check them with someone holding the brake pedal. The center one did not work. I took it off to change the bulb and there was no bulb, no bulb socket and no wiring.
Mine might not have been the only one that Damon did'nt finish the job, so might want to check yours.
I thought about wiring it my self but I'm not sure how to do it without having also wired in to the turn signals.
Hmm, maybe that's why Damon 'blew it off' too.

If you wanted to wire in the third brake light, it sounds like you would need an adaptor to go from a three wire to a 4 wire system. Something like this:

If it is indeed just a brake light, all you would need to do is run a jumper wire from either the left or right light to the center light, and it will work just fine. use slightly thicker wire. The load is light enough that it will not cause any type of overload on the wire, or dim either of the bulbs. That is how my GMC was wired.

Good Luck,
Bill

Look under the rear cap.. .Though I have not had a problem with the 3rd Eye as I call it.. I have a few other lights where the socket, bulb, and all wireing falls out and I have to "go fish" to get 'em back. You may well have a bulb and socket hanging on wires between the rear cap and the rear wall of your coach over the license plate mounting and hitch receiver.

I just got my 07 out of storage and had the missus watch it on the way home. We have one and it functions. If I were you I would still get a hold of Damon and explain how the socket and wiring seem to bew missing. They might say "too bad" but they may just send the hardware and instructions to fix it. It can't hurt.

Could be a south east Michigan thing, I call it a third eye too. Have since they started putting them on cars.

Did you know anyone that was in the public safety department in Berkely Michigan? Does the name Frank Truedel ring a bell?

if you wire it off one of the rear brake lights it will blink when the turn signal is on for that side, did this myself years ago adding a third brake light. if the wiring is not there you would have to wire it from the brake switch. my 06 daybreak third light works but you can tell that they did some fiberglass repair around it. bought mine second hand and couldnt figure what may have happened to the third light so who knows
